Options for food and fun activities abound in our neighborhood. All a very short drive from our Villa.
- Krikor Bakery- Start your morning with a breakfast at Krikor Bakery, You should come early otherwise you will have to wait in line.
- Visit to Baskinta is a must. It is is one of the most beautiful villages in the Metn district and Lebanon. Baskinta is becoming a cycling spot for mountain bikers with a few off-road trails and a developed cycling community. Remember to visit the 7th century lady of the assumption
- Faqra Roman Temple- lies on a small hill 1600m above sea level and is the most extensive Roman Ruins in all of Lebanon. Found on this site is a huge 15 meters square tower with interior staircase leading to the top. In the North-East corner of the tower and above the door, there is a Greek inscription which specifies that the building was restored by the Roman Emperor Claudius in 43 AD
- Largest Light Cross in The Middle East is near the Villa stands at 73.8 meters long and 37 wide. The cross was built near a church dating back to 1898. it celebrates processions during which people carry torches and visit mountain tops where they plant crosses, hold prayer services and start bonfires
- Hiking- The ِِِِAssi River Trail is one of the most beautiful paths in Baskinta and the Metn. While walking on the trail, you will encounter walnut trees, maple trees, pine trees and oaks, many streams, bridges, stairs, huge rocks, the river and the waterfall. The beginning of the trail is near the river restaurant. Trail length: about 8 km and the duration is around 2 hours. Not suitable for children under 12 years old.
Mount Sannine Hike. An advanced hike, you can start it from the cross of all nations or from the cedar tree forest.
