These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lebanon Locals platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which form a legally binding agreement between you and Lebanon Locals (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.


These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including guests, hosts, and visitors. Additional terms, such as our Privacy Policy, Guest Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, and Host Guarantee, are incorporated by reference and form part of this agreement.


1. Use of the Platform

Lebanon Locals provides an online marketplace that enables users to publish, discover, book, and experience accommodations and locally curated activities in Lebanon. You may only use the Platform if you are at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into legally binding contracts.

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the Platform to post or transmit any content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or infringes upon the rights of others.


2. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account.

Lebanon Locals reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to the community.


3. Bookings and Payments

When you make a booking as a guest, you are entering into a direct contractual relationship with the host. Lebanon Locals acts solely as an intermediary and payment facilitator. Prices, availability, and cancellation policies are determined by the host unless stated otherwise.


Guests agree to pay all charges associated with a booking, including taxes and applicable service fees. Payments are processed through third-party providers such as Stripe or PayPal. Lebanon Locals is not liable for delays or errors caused by payment processors.


Hosts are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their listings, honoring confirmed bookings, and maintaining minimum quality standards. Failure to do so may result in penalties, removal from the Platform, or financial liability under the Guest Refund Policy.


4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation terms are governed by the Lebanon Locals Cancellation Policy. Guests and hosts agree to abide by the applicable cancellation rules associated with each booking. Refund eligibility in the event of a Travel Issue is governed by our Guest Refund Policy.

Lebanon Locals reserves the right to modify or override cancellation terms in situations involving safety, fraud, emergencies, or force majeure.


5. Host Responsibilities

If you are a host, you agree to provide a clean, safe, and accurately described space or experience. You are solely responsible for complying with local laws, tax regulations, and any licenses or permits required to host guests.


You also agree to respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner, handle complaints with professionalism, and respect the rights of all guests using your property.


By listing on Lebanon Locals, you grant us permission to use your listing content (photos, descriptions, and reviews) for marketing and promotional purposes across our channels.


6. User Conduct

Users of the Platform agree to treat one another with respect, honesty, and integrity. You must not misuse the Platform by engaging in any of the following:

  • Posting false, misleading, or harmful content

  • Attempting to defraud or deceive other users

  • Circumventing platform fees or policies

  • Disrupting or damaging the operation of the Platform

  • Violating the intellectual property rights of others

Lebanon Locals reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including account suspension, legal steps, or permanent removal from the Platform.


7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lebanon Locals shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, bookings, or services offered by other users.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the safety of accommodations, or the conduct of any user. Users interact and transact at their own risk. Our liability in any case shall not exceed the total amount paid to us in connection with the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.


8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lebanon Locals, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.


9. Modifications

Lebanon Locals may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of your rights and obligations.


10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or may create legal exposure for Lebanon Locals.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately, but certain obligations, including payment responsibilities, indemnification, and legal limitations, will survive.


11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Beirut, Lebanon.
