These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lebanon Locals platform—including our website, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including guests, hosts, and visitors. Additional policies—such as our Privacy Policy, Guest Refund Policy, Cancellation Policy, and Host Guarantee—are incorporated by reference and form part of this agreement.

1. Use of the Platform

Lebanon Locals provides an online marketplace for booking authentic accommodations and local experiences in Lebanon.

You may only use the Platform if you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into legally binding contracts. You agree to use the Platform lawfully and respectfully and not to post or transmit any content that is unlawful, abusive, or violates the rights of others.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for any activity under your account and agree to maintain its security.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the community.

3. Bookings and Payments

When a guest makes a booking, they enter into a direct contract with the host. Lebanon Locals acts solely as an intermediary and payment processor.

  • Guests are responsible for all charges, including taxes and service fees.

  • Payments are handled by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

  • Lebanon Locals is not liable for payment processing errors or delays.

  • Hosts must honor bookings, maintain accurate listings, and meet quality standards. Failure to do so may result in removal from the Platform or financial liability.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations are subject to the Lebanon Locals Cancellation Policy. Refund eligibility in case of Travel Issues is governed by the Guest Refund Policy.

Lebanon Locals may override cancellation policies in cases involving safety, fraud, or emergencies.

5. Host Responsibilities

If you are a host, you agree to:

  • Provide clean, safe, and accurately described accommodations or experiences

  • Comply with all applicable laws, licenses, and tax requirements

  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns

  • Grant Lebanon Locals the right to use your listing content for marketing and promotion

6. User Conduct

All users must treat each other with honesty and respect. You may not:

  • Post false, harmful, or misleading content

  • Circumvent fees or platform rules

  • Interfere with Platform operations

  • Infringe on third-party rights

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension or legal enforcement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lebanon Locals is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Inaccuracies in listings

  • The conduct of any user

  • The safety or suitability of any accommodation or experience

Our total liability in any claim will not exceed the amount paid to us for the specific transaction.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Lebanon Locals, its affiliates, and partners against any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review the Terms periodically.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if we believe you’ve violated these Terms or pose a risk to the community.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ends immediately, though certain obligations (e.g., payment, indemnity) will survive.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts of Beirut.
